Credit One Bank Gives Back to Community Through Multitude of Fall Initiatives

LAS VEGAS (November 22, 2024) – Throughout the autumn of 2024, Credit One Bank and its employees have participated in a wide array of philanthropic efforts to give back to the Las Vegas community through donations of time and effort. These initiatives involve longstanding and new partnerships across the Valley. Events that the Bank and its employees participated in include:
Service Day, Best Friends Animal Sanctuary
On September 7th, over 40 volunteers from Credit One Bank traveled to Kanab, UT, the home of the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, to meet the animal residents and assist the staff with various tasks. This was the Bank’s third consecutive year sending volunteers to help at the sanctuary, one of the many ways the Bank supports Best Friends’ mission of housing pets in need of a home and saving them from shelters that euthanize animals. While on-site, volunteers toured the facility, interacted with the animals, cleaned up weeds and tumbleweeds, hauled debris off the property, and performed other crucial tasks.
Tea, Trends & Tranquility, HELP of Southern Nevada
For 25 years, HELP of Southern Nevada has held its annual Tea, Trends & Tranquility, and this year Credit One Bank was again proud to support this important occasion. This year’s event took place on Friday, September 27th, with eight volunteers from the Bank in attendance. They assisted with setting up tables, running the silent auction, and even provided five models for the Macy’s modeling team. Credit One Bank has been a proud partner of HELP of Southern Nevada since 2005.
Superhero 5K, Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada
Following HELP’s Tea, Trends & Tranquility, Credit One Bank volunteers raised money for the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada's annual Superhero 5K. Over 65 team members participated in the event, with 12 handling event set-up, seven volunteering at water stations, and 48 running the 5K. Credit One Bank has worked with Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada for 18 years, assisting with fundraising events and partnering with them multiple times for the Bank’s community-focused Number One Fan program.
43rd Annual Kids Day Out, Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada
On October 5th, Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada held their 43rd annual Kids Day Out, and Credit One Bank provided support in a variety of ways. They mentored children, hosted an event where kids could win prizes, and distributed clothing items to each of the attendees. Credit One Bank has been a proud supporter of Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada for over 20 years. It was one of the first non-profits featured in the Bank’s annual One For The Community initiative with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Team
Ten employees from Credit One Bank volunteered with Habitat for Humanity on October 10th, helping to frame two sides of a house. The Credit One Bank team was taught how to cut lumber and arrange it into wall frames, which they used to further Habitat for Humanity’s mission of bringing communities together to build homes for those in need.
Making Strides Against Cancer, American Cancer Society
On October 20th, Credit One Bank participated in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Cancer walk where 36 participants walked over two miles to support the nonprofit’s mission. The volunteers raised $1,280.69 to donate to the American Cancer Society.
